The well-being of the Windsor Essex Region and the people who live here is in the hands of political leaders who have the ability to make decisions that will ensure the creation of thousands of jobs in our community through needed infrastructure projects.

We are concerned citizens and we are taking action to ensure that our voices are heard by politicians in the decision-making process.

Here are just some of the jobs at stake:

The access road leading from the 401 to the border will create 12,000 jobs – this project could commence before the end of this year (this does not include the jobs that would be created by the second bridge or the plaza construction)

The  Ambassador Bridge replacement span will create 20,000 jobs over the next two decades and nearly 4,000 jobs within the first year

The replacement Detroit River Rail Tunnel will create 1,700 jobs

Municipal infrastructure projects will create thousands of jobs now!

We are a community action group that wants to ensure that those jobs are created and residents of our local and regional communities benefit most from those jobs. These jobs will stimulate our economy and create more jobs. What are we waiting for?

Every person who lives in the Windsor Essex region is directly or indirectly affected by these decisions. We are the stakeholders in those decisions. Citizens for Jobs NOW! is a non-partisan, grassroots movement of citizen activists and stakeholder organizations who support decisions to move forward on needed infrastructure projects. We oppose any impediments to these decisions, including any judicial processes that would delay the creation of jobs.

Our mission is: to create jobs and secure the economic growth of the Windsor Essex Region by holding all levels of government to account for immediate action on infrastructure projects, corridor and border issues.

Thank you for being part of this very important community action campaign.

The time to stand up and be heard is NOW. We are Citizens for Jobs NOW! Please join us.
